Kia Ora. Welcome to Liberty Kids Christian Preschool. We are a community based sessional Early Learning Centre for children aged two to five. We believe that every child has the potential to be a successful learner. We provide a friendly, dynamic and safe learning environment founded on Christian beliefs which reflect the core values of Liberty Church.
We place high priority on supporting children to develop their physical, social, emotional and spiritual awareness within a Christian environment. Our curriculum is underpinned by valuing and modeling respect of resources, each other and self. Children are encouraged to develop social competence skills within the programme and to learn to take responsibility for their own learning and behaviour.
The planned learning environment also supports children's cognitive development, and problem solving, thinking and reasoning skills are promoted throughout the programme. Creativity and self expression are cultivated, dreams are fostered and children have a wide range of opportunities to develop an understanding of their unique and significant self.
Partnership with parents and families is actively promoted as we seek to work in collaboration to further develop children's ongoing learning pathways. We encourage parents to share the learning they are noticing at home so that together we can plan for children's next steps. We are committed to the bicultural heritage of Aotearoa New Zealand and all children will have the opportunity to increase their knowledge and understanding of Maori language, culture and practices. In addition, we welcome and appreciate the differing cultural and valued beliefs of all families that are part of our learning community.
