About us

Welcome to Manurewa West Kindergarten.  We are located in the heart of Manurewa and have been working in your community since 1978.

At Manurewa West Kindergarten we believe that the children learn through play and discovery and we have a stimulating child initiated environment that supports their learning and development.  We value and recognise the social, cultural and ethnic diversity of our children and families and strive to establish a partnership between all families/whānau at the kindergarten and include this diversity within our programme.  We use Te Reo and other Pacific languages in our everyday communication with the children.

We work closely with Rowandale Primary school and have developed a Transition to School Programme.  Also at Manurewa West Kindergarten we have a vegetable garden that the children help to plant, water and harvest.  The resulting produce is for our kindergarten families and community.
